How to access your workspace

This guide explains how a Vietnamese hotel typically accesses its SiteMinder workspace, how SiteminderStore connects to it through the official public API, and how to keep credentials safe under Vietnamese cybersecurity law.

§ 01Where SiteMinder lives

SiteMinder is a cloud channel manager and distribution suite operated by SiteMinder Limited. Your workspace is accessed through secure.siteminder.com (or a regional URL supplied by your account manager). You authenticate with your SiteMinder username and password; multi-factor authentication is available and strongly recommended for Vietnamese hotels handling personal data under Decree 13/2023/ND-CP.

SiteminderStore never asks you to enter your SiteMinder credentials on our site. If any page asks you for a SiteMinder password outside the secure.siteminder.com domain, close the tab and report it to security@siteminderstore.org.

§ 02How SiteminderStore connects

When you add a SiteminderStore module to your workspace, we generate a connection request that redirects you to the official SiteMinder OAuth authorisation page. You review the scopes we request — typically read access to availability and rates plus reservation-update access — and you either approve or decline. On approval, SiteMinder issues a scoped access token that is returned to SiteminderStore. The token is stored encrypted at rest in our Vietnamese-hosted infrastructure.

You can revoke this token at any time from the SiteMinder admin panel. Revocation is immediate; SiteminderStore modules dependent on the token stop functioning within thirty seconds.

§ 03Recommended access hygiene

• Enable multi-factor authentication on your SiteMinder account.
• Create a dedicated SiteMinder user for SiteminderStore, with only the scopes the modules require.
• Rotate the SiteminderStore OAuth token every twelve months at minimum.
• Review the SiteminderStore audit log in your workspace monthly — every read and write against your SiteMinder data is journaled.
• Store your SiteMinder recovery codes in an offline safe at your Sài Gòn or Hà Nội head office, not on a shared drive.

§ 04What SiteMinder does, what SiteminderStore does not

SiteMinder is the channel manager. SiteminderStore is a marketplace of add-on modules built on top of SiteMinder. SiteminderStore does not manage your channel connections directly — the channels remain in SiteMinder. SiteminderStore does not deliver reservations to your PMS — that stays in the SiteMinder reservation-delivery pipeline. SiteminderStore adds Vietnam-market specificity: Vietnamese-language widgets, VND display, MoMo and VNPay guarantees, e-invoicing under Circular 78/2021/TT-BTC, city-level benchmarking, Tết seasonality logic.

§ 05If you cannot access SiteMinder

If you lost access to your SiteMinder workspace, SiteminderStore cannot restore it — only SiteMinder can. Contact SiteMinder support through the channel provided in your original SiteMinder contract. In parallel, SiteminderStore modules will pause read/write operations until the connection is restored, and you will receive an email alert to that effect from alerts@siteminderstore.org.
